Left Upper Lobe Collapse

German “air” and “cresent” - Luftsichel Sign Para-mediastinal / para-aortic lucency LUL displaced from the mediastinum by overinflated superior segment LLL Not to be confused with pneumothorax or pneumomediastinum     Diagnosis: Left Upper Lobe Collapse

Bronchoscopy revealed...

  • an occluding friable endobronchial lesion extending from LUL into the left mainstem

  • paralysis of the left vocal cord
